Valentina Dan, MPH is one of Herghelia Lifestyle Center’s founders. In 1991, after wedding Dr Nicolae Dan 1991, then a young physician with a strong vision to start a self-supporting SDA medical institution in Romania, she decided to join him in this daring endeavor. A former engineer (geology and topography major), Valentina began her training in the medical field. In 1991 – 1992 she took the medical missionary course at Wildwood Institute, Georgia, followed by several professional observer programs in: Weimar Institute (CA), Pacific Health Education Center (CA), Lifestyle Center of America (OK) and Hope Camp(Canada). In 1994 she completed a Masters of Public Health Program at Loma Linda University (CA), in Health Promotion and Education with an emphasis on Nutrition. She held the position of Lifestyle Program Coordinator at Herghelia Lifestyle Center from 1996, when the institution started, till 2018. Since 1999 Valentina has also been one of the editors of Life + Health Magazine – a monthly publication that is distributed throughout Romania by colporteurs. Presently, she is Promotion and Marketing Manager at Herghelia.
